Resonating Inductor

It is well known fact that a parallel L/C circuit has very high impedance at a particular frequency called resonating frequency ( w = 1//L C ).At this frequency the system draws minimum current form the source. This fact is normally used in correcting the lagging power factor due to heavy inductive loads. Similarly the leading power factor drawn by capacitance loads can be corrected by connecting inductor in parallel.The same phenomenon is used to extend the current capacity of the power source used for Capacitive loads.
