Principle Of Operation The liquid or Water Ring Vacuum Pump is a specific form of rotary positive-displacement pump utilizing liquid as the principal element in air compression. The compression is performed by a ring of liquid formed as a result of the relative eccentricity between the pump's casing and a rotating multi vane impeller. The eccentricity results in near-complete filling, and then partial emptying, of each rotor chamber during every revolution. The filling and emptying actions create a piston action within each set of rotor or impeller vanes. The pump's components are positioned in such a manner as to admit air when the rotor chamber is emptying the liquid, and then allowing the air to discharge once compression is completed. Sealing areas between the suction and discharge ports are provided, to close the rotor areas, and to separate the inlet and outlet flows. Material Of Construction The Water Ring Vacuum Pumps are manufactured in standard Cast Iron material. However depending on the application, Water Ring Vacuum Pumps can be supplied in SS 410, 304, 316, 316L, 317L material of construction. Performance Testing Of Vacuum Pumps Before shipment, all the Water Ring Vacuum Pumps and compressors are tested for their performance as per test standard of BS : 1571 Part 2: 1975 & Pneurop standard 6612-1984 and the same can be witnessed by any third party inspection agency as per customers choice. System Up-gradation To meet the demand of the market and the economy changes in the paper industry, the system has to be upgraded, whether it may be adding capacity through additional Water Ring Vacuum Pump or changing the configuration of existing system.
